2021 Field Work on Bioresource & Bioenvironment 2 †

Course objective †
To provide the students with opportunities to learn bioresource and bioenvironment through the field works on forestry and forest sciences at the university forest.
Tentative Schedule †
- April 1
- 8:50 Get on the bus at the east parking lot of the Agriculture 1st building and go to Kasuya Research Forest
- Introduction of the Kasuya Research Forest and the course
- Dendrology
- Visit Sugi and Hinoki plantation
- 17:00 Leave for the Ito Campus
- April 3
- 9:00 Get on the bus at the east parking lot of the Agriculture 1st building and go to Sawara Experimental Field
- Visit a coastal pine forest
- 11:30 Leave for the Ito Campus
- April 6
- 8:50 Get on the bus at the east parking lot of the Agriculture 1st building and go to the Kasuya Research Forest
- Function of Forests: water source area
- Expansion of the bamboo forest
- 17:00 Leave for the Ito Campus
Note †
- You will hike and work in the forest each day, so please wear appropriate cloths and shoes. Long sleeve shirts and pants are must.
- Bring work gloves.
- Prepare for wet weather too. If it is light rain, we will go to the field.
- Please bring lunch on April 1st and 6th. There is no shops or restaurant nearby the Kasuya Research Forest.
