2019 Field Work on Bioresource & Bioenvironment 2†
Date and Place†
- April 1 (Mon) - April 3(Wed.):3 days (You will be staying over one night at the Kasuya research forest)
Course objective†
To provide the students with opportunities to learn bioresource and bioenvironment through the field works on forestry and forest sciences at the university forest.
Tentative Schedule†
- April 1
- 8:50 Get on the bus at the east parking lot of the Agriculture 1st building and go to Kasuya Research Forest
- 10:00-11:00 Introduction of Kasuya Research Forest
- 11:00-12:00 Forest and Water (Field work)
- 12:00-13:00 Lunch
- 13:00-14:00 Forest and Water
- 14:00-17:00 Forest and Micrometeorology(Field work)
- 17:30-18:50 Dinner
- 19:00-20:00 Lecture on World and Japanese forest
- April 2
- 9:00-12:00 Trees in the forest (Field work)
- 12:00-13:00 Lunch
- 13:00-16:00 Forest prduct (Field work)
- 15:30-16:30 Planting trees
- 16:30 Leave for the Ito Campus
- April 3
- 9:00 Get on the bus at the east parking lot of the Agriculture 1st building and go to the Sawara experimental field
- 11:00 Leave for the Ito Campus
Transportation service†
- April 2: Picking up 8:50 at the main entrance of the Agriculture 1st building
- April 3: Dropping off around 17:30 at the main entrance of the Agriculture 1st building
- April 4: Picking up 8:50 at the main entrance of the Agriculture 1st building & Dropping you off at 12:00 at the same place
Wear†
Please prepare proper clothes and shoes for hiking and work in forest in all weather. For example
- Rain gear (top&bottom)
- long-sleeved shirts and pants
- fleece or sweater to keep you warm
- hat
- boots for hiking
- cotton work gloves
- towel
- backpack

- Kasuya Research Forest Dormitory
Fee†
2,870Yen (including meal:1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 1 diners & accommodation fee)
Please pay it by cash when you arrive at Kasuya Research Forest.
Food†
